With a variety of cruise styles and state of the art facilities, a Caribbean holiday cruise is nothing short of superb. You can sit on the deck; soak up the sunshine while sipping a martini and marvel at the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Or if you want privacy on an island with your lover, you can be rest assured that there will be a Caribbean holiday cruise that caters to your exact needs.
A holiday cruise on the Caribbean comes in different shapes and sizes. Tourists are spoilt for choice as there are cruises for every kind of holiday goer. Each person may have a different reason for choosing a holiday cruise in the Caribbean, but what is undoubtedly a common factor in all this is the breathtaking beauty of the Caribbean islands.

The famous phrase from the movie Godzilla - Size does matter applies here as well. Depending on the size of the ship you choose, your Caribbean holiday cruise will be different. Larger ships usually contain between 2000 and 4000 passengers. Such ships are ideal if you are going on a holiday cruise with your family as there are plenty of fun activities your kids could enjoy like kid's clubs, a movie theater, kiddy dining options, kiddy swimming pools etc.

However, one major disadvantage of a holiday cruise in the Caribbean is that it distances you from the land and the environment. Some stopovers at islands can be for a very short time and if the crowd is too loud, it can make your holiday cruise worse. If you want to experience more of the land, then choose a holiday cruise on a mid size ship. A mid size ship usually contains around 1500 passengers and they generally have an older crowd that is keen on savoring the sights and sounds of the islands. Such ships usually cater to specific themes like singles cruise, couples cruise, adventure cruise etc.

If going on a holiday cruise with 1500 people doesn't interest you, then consider hiring a private yacht. For the rich, famous and wealthy, a holiday cruise on a yacht would be ideal. You can be alone with your partner or even have a party with up to 100 people on board. These yachts have a staff and crew that know the Caribbean area very well. What is even more exciting about a yacht holiday cruise is that you can see islands and places that regular cruises cannot take you to because only the small yachts can squeeze between narrow isles and channels of the Caribbean waters.

A holiday cruise on a private yacht is costlier but if you have money to burn, don't discard this option. Cruising on a private yacht is something totally different. On the other hand if you wish to take the economical route and opt for a holiday cruise on a large ship, ask your travel agent if he can arrange an excursion on a smaller boat for a day to truly experience the Caribbean in all its marvelous glory.
