However, Corfu is not an isolate island, as it is well connected with close areas and many tours are offered to discover the beauties of the island and of close areas.

Before you sail for far away-from-Corfu lands, make sure you know the island itself. The most beautiful and tourist corner of Corfu is the beach of Paleokastritsa, surrounded by lush greenery and having crystal waters. Frequent tours are organized around Paleokastritsa to discover the hidden treasures: the Cave of Nafsika with the underwater rocks, the Cave of Saint Nicolas and other isolate caves and beaches.

Other tours are organized to explore the north eastern or south eastern side of the island, including beautiful areas as Saint Stefanos, Nissaki, Kouloura and Benitses. Swim in the blue-green waters of the areas, see rocky caves and have a barbeque day on the beach.

For the more adventurous, try the tour to Albania, a country only an hour from Corfu island. This daily tours include a visit to the ancient town of Saint Saranda and a coach tour to the site of Butrint, which has been declared as a Unesco World Heritage Monument. There you can also see beautiful lakes, an old Ottoman Castle and an ancient theatre. Lunch in a restaurant is usually included in the tour fee and some free time to see the port town of Saint Saranda, one of the most developed towns of Albania.
