All Airlink bus service tickets are prepaid tickets and they could be purchased from the airport desk, the vending machines located all over the city, Dublin Tourism office and at any rail and bus information desk. For a one way trip from the airport to the city centre, you will be charged six Euros for an adult. For a two way trip from the airport to the city centre, the charge is ten Euros. Moreover, if you are travelling with a family, you can purchase family tickets that allow 2 adults and 4 children to use the Airlink bus services for 24 hours. There are two main routes that people take from the Dublin Airport, and they are:
Route number 748:
This route begins at the Dublin Airport and passes through the Central Bus Station, Tara Street Rail Station, Aston Quay, Wood Quay before reaching its final destination, Heuston Rail Train Station.
Route number 747:
This route begins at Dublin Airport and passes through the City Centre on O'Connell Street, before stopping at its final destination, Bus Aras.
You could also take another excellent bus service that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week called Aircoach. You can easily locate its desk in the arrival area of the Dublin Airport. The price of the tickets depends on which route you choose and your destination. For an adult one way trip from the Dublin Airport to the city centre, it costs 7 Euros and for a two way trip it costs 12 Euros.
Children below the age of 5 being accompanied by adults can travel free of cost. The tickets can be both postpaid and prepaid depending on your choice. You will also be given a 10% discount at airport desks if you are travelling in a group that has more than 50 people.
