The innovative travel industry is now promoting Glasgow city break with holiday packages that offer good bargains to entice holiday-makers to visit this Scottish city during this period, branded as Home Coming Scotland 2009.

The World championship will be held in Glasgow Greens, the city's oldest park space. The festivities would continue into the weekend with the After Worlds Shindig in honour of all competing bands. Glasgow Prestwick Airport, located 32 miles south east of Glasgow, has flights to 35 destinations across Europe and is easily accessible by both car and train.
